ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, CHITTAMPATTI, MADURAI
Auxilium Arts and Science College for women was a dream come true for the rural areas in the outskirts of Madurai. Started in the year 2022, the college is administered by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco of the Province of Tiruchirapalli. The empowerment of the young girls and women in the peripheries is the emphasis of our service.
The college is located on the Trichy-Madurai highway in Chittampatti (one kilometer from the tollgate) which is a very prime location in Madurai. It is very much accessible to a number of villages around reaching out to the poor young girls in offering them higher education.
The college provides opportunities to make the dreams of the underprivileged young women come true in obtaining a degree in higher educational institution.
Through the strenuous effort of the Salesian Sisters, Auxilium Arts and Science College for Women, Chittampatti received affiliation orders from the Madurai Kamaraj University.
Five courses are initially offered for the students - B.A in English Literature, B.Sc in Mathematics and B.Sc in Computer Science, B.Com CA (Computer Applications) and BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration).
Transforming young women from poor and rural backgrounds to become efficient and empowered by imparting quality education and integral formation.
Offering higher education and skill-based training to the economically weak, socially backward sections of the society in and around the neighbouring districts of Madurai to become intellectually alert, socially conscious, morally upright and responsible citizens.
Our educational endeavour is to generate intellectually enlightened, spiritually inspired, emotionally stable, morally upright, socially devoted, and fulfilled, or, to put it another way, integrally constituted young women who will be agents of social revolution in contemporary India. According to its founders' original intent, the college pledges to assist underprivileged, economically disadvantaged, and socially backward young women. The Auxilium Educating Community, which includes the students, staff, parents, administration, local and distant agencies affiliated with her, and all other well-wishers, is committed to helping us achieve the educational goal we have set for ourselves. In light of this, the Educative Project is created annually in cooperation with the faculty, the parents, and the students who, as the leaders of their own development, are the subject of all pedagogical interventions. Therefore, the College anticipates close parental participation in the project's preparation and implementation.
